The universe is separated into different Realms, each of which is associated with a color for convenience. Each Realm has a specific scent, which follows entities as they travel between the Realms.

GREY REALM – The home of the player characters. Objects and creatures from here smell dirty and dusty to outsiders.

RED REALM – The home of the Hranai (“The Adorned”) and Uaquqlaidain (“The Iniquity”). Objects and creatures from here have a strong perfumed and floral scent.

WHITE REALM – The home of the Shards, the Shardsworn and the Resistance. Objects and creatures from here have a distinct chemical, mineral and ozone odor.

GREEN REALM – Unknown.

BLACK REALM – The home of the Shadowlings and Shaden. Unknown smell.
